Documentation

Description

The digital air permeability tester according to Gurley has  a pneumatic lifting and lowering device. The measuring sensor records the starting and final position of the cylinder. A separate controller records the values. These are digitally displayed, as well as the statistic values. The data may be transferred to PC via MiniStat or printed directly.

Test description

The operator places a sample beneath the cylinder and pushes the start button. The sample is clamped pneumatically. The graduated cylinder is released and floats on the sealing liquid and forcing the air through the sample by its own weight. As soon as the final position is reached, the values are transmitted to the control unit and displayed. If the operator pushes the stop button, the sample is released, and the measuring cylinder returns to its initial position. The instrument is now ready for further measurements. After several tests, the control unit shows statistic values.
